During the 2018-2019 year, members of the Indige-Spheres Youth Group had the opportunity to travel across Canada on an educational tour with the final destination being Cortes Island, BC to attend a Peace Building through Music workshop with Morley Kamen who has had the priviledge of engaging our youth in Thunder Bay with a team of artists and collaborators from across the world.
One of the stops enroute to BC was the Humboldt Broncos roadside memorial. We shared in reverence, laid our tobacco and stood in mindful contemplation with respect for the young souls and community who are forever changed by this tragedy.

We at Indige-Spheres to Empowerment are also open to and engaged in research opportunities that is indigenous led and indigenous driven.

We have partnered scholars from the University of Alberta, Goldsmiths-University of London, and Laurentian University to engage in youth led, youth driven research into perspectives in gaming/gambling among northern indigenous youth. We are excited and optimistic about this partnership and look forward to sharing the process and results as we proceed.
